Pets are sometimes a source of irritation between couples. But a man from the Australian Melbourne went far in this. When his wife awoke the dog, her man killed her. After this he went to the local pub to drink a beer.

Anthony Sherna had the habit to lull his beloved Jack Russell terrier into sleep every night. Sherna told the court that his wife Susanne had awaken the dog wildly with her loud voice. Then he strangled her and buried her in the backyard. When Sherna last year was arrested, he seemed very relieved finally to tell the truth, said a police agent. A verdict will follow later.

A mobile blood bank for dogs is touring in the United Kingdom. It is a special truck equipped with scales, waiting room and a special table.

The dogs are also rewarded. After giving some blood there waits a dinner an a surprise package. Before the blood giving the doctors examine the dogs. The donation itself only takes 7 minutes.
"We are always short of donors. It is a shame, just as the blood shortage for people is a disgrace," says Wendy Barnett of the blood bank. "People always expect that they can get blood donors, which is also true for dogs."
